Friends, lovers, and residents of Morocco
Hey everybody, my name is Peter and I'm 19 and from the little country of Denmark!|
Anyways, my friends and I are thinking about planning a trip to Southern Spain, and then exploring the northern part of Morocco as it's quite close.
My question is...my friends and I are Danish. One of my friends is mixed with black and white, so he could pass for Moroccon perhaps, and then my other friend is half Iranian half Danish, and she looks exotic or sort of Arabic/Persian, but then there is me...I'm tall, light skinned, blond, and I have blue eyes.
Now I hope I don't sound ignorant, but I really have nobody else to ask so...how safe would it be for us Danes to visit Morocco, given that it's a Muslim country and the whole Danish Cartoon Crisis that occured last winter? We all have Danish passports, so would getting into the country be an issue? How do Moroccans feel about Westerns like us? We're very polite, not loud, we're not coming to party or anything, but merely coming to visit the country's cultural treasures (bazaars and market places, ect.).
I'm mostly scared for myself I guess you could say, since I look the most out of place of my friends, and I'm just worried for my saftey? Do I sound over paranoid or what? I just remember seeing the Danish flag ripped, torn, and burned not so long ago in all the Arab countries, and then some of the countries boycotted our export products, etc out of anger. So...what do you guys think? Should I be worried or should it be fine?
In addition, how long would it take to go from Spain to Morocco by fairy?
Thanks so much for the help!
